NDP Candidate in Kitchener is Against Same-Sex Marriage

Fitz Vanderpool was previously endorsed by the Campaign Life Coalition

TORONTO -- In another surprise, Kitchener South-Hespeler NDP Candidate Fitz Vanderpool doesn’t support same-sex marriage. During his last run for public office, the former boxer was endorsed by Jack Fonseca of the Campaign Life Coalition for his support of the “traditional” definition of marriage.

When Fitz Vanderpool was running to become Kitchener’s Ward 3 city councillor, he filled out a survey from Defend Traditional Marriage and Family in favour of their cause. He would later go on to receive an endorsement from the organization spearheaded by Jack Fonseca (The Record, Nov 10th, 2006)

People need to know whether Fitz Vanderpool is still against same-sex marriage and why Andrea Horwath and the NDP secretly ran a social conservative in this riding?
